Our Mission is to provide assistance to all Veterans and their eligible family to file all VA claims Provide emergency financial assistance to Veterans that reside in Bond County Serve as a hub for all Veteran assistance in Bond County One stop office for Veterans in need of federal, state and local services. VACBC Facts Veteran Service Organizations (VFW, American Legion, Marine Corps League, AMVETS) of Bond County came together to form the VAC One delegate and one alternate from each organization volunteered to be on the Commission that oversees the VACBC The commission hires a Superintendent who is an accredited Veterans Service Officer to run the VACBC. VAC History VACs in Illinois were founded through the Bogardus Act of 1874 which was approved on May 25, 1907 Since 1926, the VAC is the premier Veteran Service Organization in Illinois serving Veterans and their families from all eras and conflicts.
